Born and raised in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area, where he cultivated strong ties to the community, his local church, and the performing arts. From an early age, he demonstrated natural leadership, actively engaging in student life throughout his primary and secondary education.
He carried this leadership forward to West Virginia State University, where he served as President of the Student Government Association. In recognition of his exceptional civic engagement and academic achievement, Mark was honored as one of Who’s Who Among Students in American Colleges and Universities.
With over two decades of experience in public education, Mark has held roles as regional director for federally funded grant programs, government contractor for youth development initiatives, and adjunct professor. He holds both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Communication and is also an ordained minister.
Currently, Mark continues to serve in the public school system while pursuing a Ph.D. in Communication. He is a proud father of three and resides in Prince George’s County, Maryland.
