Internships at Sun Gate Foundation allow motivated individuals who desire to expand their knowledge and skills in a professional, non-profit environment that specializes in educational funding and support for human trafficking survivors. Sun Gate interns are undergraduate/graduate students whose desire to impact the lives of the community is as strong as their desire to succeed. One will not only be educated on the issues and governance of human trafficking that has plagued our nation, but he/she will also provide direct contribution in nonprofit management to assist our CEO and development associate in making a difference in the lives of survivors nationwide.
Internships are virtual and last three months or one full semester (exceptions can be made). Interns are asked to commit between 15 and 30 hours per week. Hours offer some flexibility, depending on program and course requirements. Course credit is available, and all internships are unpaid.
Intern responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Communications
Public relations
Research
Program development and expansion
Create social media content
General administrative duties and projects as assigned
Qualifications:
Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and time management skills
An enthusiastic and positive attitude
Excellent verbal and written communication
Highly organized and detail-oriented
Competent with the use of Microsoft Office
Interns can participate in local events in the anti-trafficking community to network with leading professionals.
